HoneyKats 2006
HoneyKats are a fast-paced, powerful female performing Dance Company with occasional performances by equally explosive TomKats. Energetic, interdisciplinary, innovative and creative, the HoneyKats deliver outstanding, original, highly stylized performances in Hip hop, Jazz, Modern-Jazz, Modern and Tap. They are professionally trained in Hip hop, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Ballet, Breakdancing, Salsa and Musical Theatre. The HoneyKats are bold, multidisciplinary and have trained, instructed and performed in Canada, the US and internationally. Ambitious and hard working, they certainly have an appetite to succeed.
The HoneyKats is Dance Kraze Production's featured performance group. Dance Kraze Production events featuring the HoneyKats have included The HoneyKats Gala (2002), 'Bust A Moove! (2003), REVIVED The HoneyKats Gala 2 (2003), Spend the Night with the HoneyKats (2004), Intensified The HoneyKats Gala III (2004), and Taste the Talent (with Je Danse)(2004).
Since its inception in June 2001, the HoneyKats have finished a 'promotional reel'; they have performed at club venues and at live stage venues including the Harbourfront 'Fresh' Festival (2001), the University of Toronto 'Frosh Week' Sept (2001), the TSN Sports Celebrity Festivals for the Special Olympics in Canada (2001, 2003) at the Westin Harbour Castle, McMaster's Urban Dance Competition Feb (2002), and THRIVE! (2002). The have also been featured on a live television broadcast on Rogers TV Mississauga's SportsZone (2002, 2003)- with a live interview with Katarina Rajkovic.
The HoneyKats also danced for Rogers Mississauga SportsZone at Square One World Cup (2002). The HoneyKats opened for The Special Olympics North America (2002) at the Royal York and were featured dancers for Rue-Morgue Magazine (2002). The HoneyKats also danced at Inside Out Productions' Just Jazz Workshop Showcase (2002), The Weekenders Awards Showcase (2003), Motionball (Fundraiser Gala for the Special Olympics) (2003) and the NAPA Convention at the Intercontinental (2003).
In the past couple of years HoneyKats exposure has continued to expand. The group was featured on City TV Everywhere in April 2004, and had television interviews and performances on STVT Serbian Television in 2004 and BPMTV- Canada's only Dance Channel in 2005. The HoneyKats performed at the Class Act Dinner Theatre in Whitby Ont (2005), Pegasus Dance Studios for a benefit for the Daily Bread Food Bank (2005) and performed their new work 'This is What We've Got!' at the Premiere Dance Theatre for Dance Ontario's Annual Dance Weekend Jan 22, 2005.
Recently the HoneyKats performed at the Croissant Tree with the Big Silver Blues Band April 9th, Artist's Play April 29th, Rethink Breast Cancer Burlesque Soiree June 22nd and Molson Indy 2005. We also recently performed at fFIDA International Dance Festival and Kick Up Your Heels at the Harbourfront Center August 2005, where we were joined by Goodness Gracious Fire Dancers to present our newest work, 'This is What We've Got'- Part II'.
Watch out, the HoneyKats are the New Dance Triple Threat, they may look sweet and might taste like honey but their smile is better than their bite!

HoneyKats Reviews
"The HoneyKats is a widely popular, all-women dance company with attitude. With training in hip-hop, jazz, modern, ballet, tap, salsa and breakdancing, the troupe presents rambunctious performances that area about as upbeat as you can get."
